You must keep in mind consistency, pricing, and accommodation when trying to get more students to your online yoga class. There are many websites offering Yoga content, and you need to set yourself up to be the most successful one.
Here are seven ways you can get more students to your online yoga class and how to be successful in teaching yogis of all levels.
- Be consistent
- Clear and fair pricing
- Brand your personality
- Illustrate your expertise
- Be accommodating
- Market yourself
- Utilize various social media platforms
Be Consistent
This is probably the most important rule or tip out there. The people who come to your site want to know what they are getting. They want to be able to count on you for their practice, so you want to be reliable for them.
What does it mean to be consistent? Be disciplined about how and when you post your content. Try to avoid posting randomly or sporadically. Have a set day and time to make it easier on yourself and your audience.
Consistency also applies to the type of content you are posting. This is not to say you should never try new things or step outside your comfort zone, but if you are a Yoga website, stick to yoga. You might post different types of yoga to give your audiences some choices, but remain consistent in ways that make the most sense.
It’s a fine line because you want people to be able to rely on you, but you do not want to bore them. Make sure your content is interesting enough to keep your audience, but post often enough that people come to expect and look forward to your content.
How To Best Offer Private Yoga Sessions
Have clear and fair pricing
If you are beginning to charge for your classes or access to your videos, that is fantastic! Take care to make sure people know and understand what they are paying for. Decide how much access each price will grant and make that clear. If you surprise people with what they can access after they have paid, you may lose their trust and their business.
Do your research to know what other sites are charging. You want to have competitive enough pricing that people will consider buying from you, but you also want to do yourself justice. It is not a great idea to undersell your skills and expertise. If you have more skills and more experience than your contemporaries, then you should charge accordingly.
Keep in mind some of the ways that might enable to charge more. You might offer PDFs or plans for people to access on their own in addition to your videos.
Brand your Personality
This one might seem odd. To be really successful, you must keep in mind that people are not just accessing your yoga instruction, but they are also coming to your site for you and your personality. Let your unique style show in everything you do. It might seem disingenuous, but in reality, you are working to show your genuine and authentic self.
You have to make it a bit more concentrate because they are only accessing you and your personality in bits and pieces. You want to make sure they get as much as they can in these small doses. When people have a feel for you really are, and they like it, they will keep coming back.
This might even result in your own logo or mission statement or catch phrase. Something small and recognizable will help people separate you from the dozens of other people they are receiving content from.
Illustrate your Expertise
There are many websites people can access for yoga classes. There are plenty of people who are trying to get traffic on their pages. There’s a lot of competition out there! You need to make it clear that your website is the one they should be on. One way to do this is to clearly illustrate why you are the expert in this area. This might be done through an “About Me” video or page. You may use the “About Me” to list your certifications and/or experience.
You might also use this time to explain how yoga has changed your life. Instead of listing facts, you could be more anecdotal and share some of your story. It all depends on the personality and flair you want to bring to your site and to your practice. You could do a combination of both. The goal is simply to make people truly understand and believe that you know what you are talking about. You are not just another person trying to take their money; they can trust you.

Be accommodating
Make sure your site is easily maneuvered and accessible to people of all skills and levels. This is in terms of yoga level and skill as well as their technological savvy. You don’t want people to have to search and scour for the information they want from your site. Use tabs and headings and tell people where to go. Provide links to the places on your website you are directing them. You want to make accessing your site as easy as possible.
In terms of your yoga practice, make sure you are accommodating people at different levels. Either through giving variations in one practice and video. This would look like giving two poses or flows that will accomplish the same goal but be easier on people with back pain or knee injuries. You want people to feel like there is something for them. You could also create different videos for each level. You might also give people tips and tricks to help them beyond your videos in terms of furthering their practice. You don’t want anyone to leave your website feeling as though there was nothing for them and their skill level.
If you are a niche practice site catering to one level only, make that clear and understand that you may be losing out on a large population that is not at that level. This is fine if this is your goal, but you must be even more committed to this level and creating content for them.
Market Yourself
You have to be strategic and assertive with your marketing. Your page will not just appear on people’s screens. Interact with other yogis and their sites. Use social media as a tool, and interact with people on those sites. Your name and your site need to be given to people in order for them to visit it if you’re hoping that they will eventually buy from you instead of someone else.
Do what you can to utilize Google Searches to your advantage. Offer a few classes in person if you can, and direct people to your website.
Utilize Various Social Media Platforms
This one goes hand in hand with marketing yourself. If you are an avid Instagram user, that is a great place to start but it’s not enough. Make sure you are utilizing as many Social Media platforms as you reasonably can. Don’t start too many at once if you’re unable to post consistently. Just like with your current website, you want to have certain times and days to post to help keep you on track.
Make sure you link your other Social Media accounts on each of your pages as well as the link to your actual website. These accounts would be a good place to showcase the kind of content people can get if they work with you and your website.
Again, make sure you are interacting with other yogis! This is so vital because when people see your comments or likes or tags on other accounts, they are being introduced to you based on those interactions.

This depends. If you are creating content like PDFs to sell for people to use on their own.
